My design approach is easy to remember...less is more, clean and simple but always accomplished with a little humor.
No, that’s not me, but if I could be a cat, I’d be that one! In all seriousness however, I really do need to get my life and take an updated photo of myself.
Many moons ago, like many small kids, I wanted to be a vet. That very quickly changed when I couldn't dissect a worm in my high school science class. There was also a very short-lived desire to be an architect—something we can get into later. But the pivotal moment that put me on this design track was having to learn HTML/CSS—you know I was one of the many custom coding their MySpace page.
I thought computer programming was the way to go but quickly learned I couldn't get into Java, so I pivoted, changed majors to Communications Design and like they say, the rest is history. I've been designing professionally for over a decade now and continue to find ways on finessing my craft and adding new skills under my belt.
Like many during the pandemic, we bought our first house. Minus all the paperwork and the waiting, I enjoyed every minute of our home search. Once we landed on our dream home, I measured and digitized a to-scale floor plan just so I can plan the furniture arrangements. Was this my underlying, dormant interest in architecture? Maybe. Maybe not. But I did however channel the joy I felt during our home-buying journey and instead became a licensed real estate agent.
Outside of design I enjoy watching title sequences, being part of the Gotham Volleyball league, learning new things around the garden and yard, traveling (need to get that up and running again), eating (who doesn't love food), and now officially, helping people find their dream homes.
